Full Job Description
Position Summary

Provide technical support for the design, development, installation, and maintenance of post-production hardware and software supporting editing workstations in a complex computing environment for the Department of Film & Television, TSOA. Manage the full lifecycle of post-production systems across PC and Mac platforms, including research, testing, procurement, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning. Deploy and administer post-production servers, tools, and services that support video editing and workstation management. Configure, provision, and maintain hardware and software across all editing environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve complex post-production issues related to editing software, picture, sound, and visual effects, collaborating with service desk teams as needed. Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to users, and contribute to knowledge management through the development of knowledge base articles. Ensure all system changes comply with enterprise change management policies and support organizational standards by utilizing reporting tools and maintaining adherence to NYU IT compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in film and television production.

Required Experience:
2+ years in film and television production including experience editing with Premiere Pro, Avid, DaVinci Resolve, Pro Tools, After Effects, Workspace ONE, & Bash scripting.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to provide technical leadership and management of complex projects. Programming or scripting proficiency in Bash, Powershell and Python. Experience with Workspace ONE & MDM/UEM tools. Excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Management of Post-production PC and Mac computers configured for editing including Premiere Pro, Avid, Davinci Resolve, Pro Tools, After Effects, related plugins, and special effects applications.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $85,250.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
