Job Description

We're seeking a talented and motivated IP Resident Engineer to join our team and support a key Nokia customer. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and developing network architectures and services, creating implementation and migration plans, documenting configuration equipment and services, testing and supporting networks in various deployment stages, providing recommendations to optimize network operations and performance, and collaborating with internal technical teams to enhance product placement and features for reliability, availability, and serviceability. Responsibilities

  • Performs critical (sometimes escalated) design and performance activities in customer projects independently (complex problem solving in projects and multi-vendor environments).
  • Develops / Reviews and makes recommendations on network-wide Design covering Performance, Spectrum & Capacity supported by Recommendations (within and across the region).
  • Organizes field measurements and laboratory tests.
  • Performs network audits, especially in cases where fault or problems exist.
  • Optimizes networks with all components based on traffic trends and customer forecasts.
  • Supports experts in developing network configuration file and interface analysis
  • Develop network architecture and services designs with the best architecture available to support our customer's services.


Qualifications

You Have:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science or 5; years equivalent practical work experience.
  • Experience in MPLS, ISIS, OSPF, Segment Routing, BGP protocols, LDP, RSVP-TE, L2/L3 VPN over MPLS, EVPNs.
  • Experience in QoS implementation/testing; familiarity with testing tools like Spirent and IXIA.
  • Expertise operating, troubleshooting, monitoring, and configuring the noted IP networking protocols.
  • Knowledge on Nokia BNG deployment is highly valued.
  • A customer mindset and solid written and verbal communication skills to end-clients.
  • Nokia products experience (7750SR, 7250 IXR, 7705SAR, 7210 SAS and NSP).
  • Previous multivendor experience, especially with Juniper routers.
  • Very good communication skills and willingness to learn and advance your career on both technical and non-technical expertise..
