This role offers a career-defining opportunity to provide clear and consistent communication around Opendoor's strategy and performance, drive capital initiatives, and lead special finance projects as Opendoor enters its next chapter!

At Opendoor, we approach investor relations as an extension of how we run the business - grounded in transparency, consistency, and long-term value creation. We aim to engage all investors as long-term partners and owners of the business, communicating with clear data, thoughtful context and an open dialogue as the company evolves.

Reporting to the Director of Investor Relations & Capital Markets, you will operate at the nexus of the finance organization with a wide mandate and direct exposure to senior leadership and external stakeholders. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of investor engagement and corporate finance, directly influencing both our shareholder communication and business outcomes.
What You'll Do
  • Drive the external financial narrative, leading the end-to-end preparation of quarterly earnings materials, scripts, and presentations that articulate our strategy to the broader financial community.
  • Own key tactical Investor Relations operations, including performing detailed tie outs of financial disclosures, maintaining and updating the IR website, coordinating logistics for earnings releases and investor events, and supporting the day-to-day execution of core IR processes.
  • Orchestrate external engagement strategies for industry conferences and roadshows, ensuring executives are equipped with comprehensive briefing materials and data-backed talking points for meetings with current and prospective shareholders.
  • Oversee execution of earnings livestream, working with Communications team on end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery to ensure a seamless, engaging broadcast experience for investors and stakeholders.
  • Maintain rigorous oversight of external financial models, interacting with equity research analysts to ensure the market accurately understands key business drivers and modeling inputs.
  • Lead development initiatives, conducting deep-dive market research, valuation modeling, and due diligence to evaluate high-impact M&A targets and strategic partnerships.
  • Analyze market dynamics and consensus estimates, synthesizing feedback from equity research and peer performance to provide actionable strategic insights to the Finance & Executive teams.
  • Partner with senior leadership on special projects and Board of Directors presentations, providing the analytical backbone for critical capital allocation and long-term planning decisions.
What You'll Need
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in Investor Relations, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Sellside Equity Research, and/or a Strategic Finance role within a high-growth or public company environment.
  • High agency and strong project management skills; ability to independently lead high-stakes workstreams and coordinate with cross-functional partners across Finance, Capital Markets, Legal, Accounting, and Communications.
  • Exceptional communication and narrative ability; proven skill in synthesizing complex financial and operational data into clear and compelling materials for investors, senior executives and other external stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of public market dynamics; including earnings, guidance, consensus, corporate valuation, investor targeting and capital structure considerations.
  • AI native mindset; comfortable leveraging AI tools and advanced analytics to drive efficiency, deepen insight, and inform decision-making in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Bonus points if you have:
  • Deep experience applying Generative AI to finance workflows; for example, leveraging LLMs to automate analyses, generate first drafts of earnings scripts, or perform sentiment analysis on market data to accelerate decision-making.
  • Strong "pre-AI" technical data skills, specifically proficiency in SQL for querying complex datasets and experience building dynamic dashboards.
  • Direct prior experience in Investor Relations at a publicly traded company, including familiarity with earnings cycle logistics, investor material preparation, consensus management, etc.
