Full Job Description
Role Overview
Associates are expected to assume significant levels of responsibility requiring intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, leadership, analytical rigor, and strong communication skills. The day-to-day responsibilities of an Associate include performing financial analysis and modeling, developing and evaluating financing structures, preparing client and investor presentations, managing Analysts, and coordinating across clients, senior bankers, investors, lenders, and other transaction counterparties to help execute transactions from mandate through closing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capital structure analysis and structuring: Build and maintain models to assess debt capacity, leverage, liquidity, and downside scenarios; develop and evaluate financing alternatives across debt and equity products, including bespoke and structured solutions
  • Market insight and client advice: Monitor debt and equity market conditions, investor sentiment, and comparable transactions
  • Transaction execution and materials: Prepare investor and lender materials, manage marketing processes, coordinate with investors, oversee data rooms and Q&A, draft and maintain process timelines, trackers, and term sheets
  • Deal coordination: Serve as a key point of contact across clients, investors / lenders, senior bankers, legal counsel and other parties; manage timelines and deliverables through closing
  • Team leadership: Direct and review Analyst work, ensuring high-quality output while interacting regularly with senior bankers, clients, and external stakeholders


Qualifications
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, valuation, credit, and presentation skills; ability to assess businesses, capital structures, and financing alternatives
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting, corporate finance, and capital markets, including leverage, credit metrics, debt instruments, covenants, and equity/IPO mechanics
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in investment banking (capital markets, leveraged finance, debt or equity capital markets, corporate finance, or M&A) or an equivalent buy-side/credit role
  • Familiarity with institutional investors and lenders, including private equity, credit funds, hedge funds, banks, and alternative asset managers
  • Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work under tight deadlines and in high-pressure environments
  • Strong judgment, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with internal teams, clients, investors, and other external parties
  • Team-oriented with the ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously
  • Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills; strong ability to analyze financial statements and market data; familiarity with market data and research tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, Dealogic, or similar platforms
  • Undergraduate degree required; finance, business, accounting, economics, mathematics, engineering, or related field preferred


Expected Salary Range: $175,000 - $225,000
