Your team
You'll be working in the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team within the firm's Global Banking unit in New York. Global Banking comprises traditional coverage banking as well as a number of product groups focused on providing customized capital structure solutions for our clients. As one of the underwriting groups, ECM serves as the nexus between Investment Banking and Sales & Trading. The Equity Capital Markets team is specifically responsible for sourcing and executing equity transactions, including Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), follow-on offerings, SPACs, block trades, equity-linked offerings, and private placements on behalf of UBS' corporate and financial sponsor clients.
You would work with bankers and originators on complex, innovative financing and risk management solutions in a fast-paced environment. Working with Equity Capital Markets, your primary responsibility would be to work with and support the team sourcing and executing a range of equity products by partnering with coverage banking, Sales & Trading, and external parties (such as other investment banks, auditors and law firms). This is a very high-profile area dealing with the Firm's largest investment banking clients; you will work on high value deals and be in contact with sensitive information on a day-to-day basis. You will need to be a strong individual who can grow within the role to take full responsibility for the deals you are working on no matter how complex.
Your expertise
• bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
• MBA preferred but not required.
• ideally you have 3+ years' experience working within in Equity Capital Markets or investment banking (with a Bachelor's degree) or 1+ year experience working within in Equity Capital Markets or investment banking (with a MBA)
• familiarity with financial and valuation analysis and utilizing financial services industry database and tools including PowerPoint, Excel, Dealogic, Bloomberg, etc.
• great communicator, whether presenting to clients or executives
• able to develop creative solutions to meet client needs and identify cross-product opportunities
• You're curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment - validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.

Salary information
The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
• United States - New York - New York USD 275000 /annum
