Join a collaborative and fast-paced team responsible for building, maintaining, and continuously improving enterprise DevOps platforms and shared technology solutions. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with development, infrastructure, and business teams to design and implement automated, scalable, and secure solutions that enable continuous integration and delivery. You will contribute to enhancing system reliability, optimizing deployment processes, and supporting cloud-based infrastructure, all while driving improvements that elevate service quality and deliver value to internal and external clients.

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

What you'll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient deployment of web and mobile applications built with React, .NET, and JavaScript
  • Collaborate within Agile teams alongside developers, product owners, and platform engineers to enable continuous delivery and optimize release processes
  • Automate build, test, and deployment workflows to improve deployment frequency, consistency, and system reliability
  • Monitor application performance and pipeline health using logging and monitoring tools; proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Investigate and troubleshoot production incidents across application and infrastructure layers, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution
  • Implement and support cloud-based solutions (Azure), including environment provisioning, configuration, and scaling
  • Integrate security scanning and testing frameworks into pipelines to support DevSecOps practices
  • Continuously improve deployment strategies, infrastructure, and workflows by identifying automation and optimization opportunities.

What you'll bring:

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of experience in software development with exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation
  • Strong proficiency in .NET/C# and JavaScript, with working knowledge of React (including modern versions)
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar
  • Experience with Azure Cloud (IaaS/PaaS), including deploying and managing applications and services
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (or willingness to develop)
  • Experience integrating automated testing frameworks (e.g., NUnit, Jasmine) into build and deployment pipelines
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and service integration using JSON/XML
  • Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management concepts (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates, Ansible)
  • Experience monitoring and troubleshooting applications using tools such as Splunk, Azure Monitor, or similar
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL, including performance considerations in deployment environments
  • Experience with IIS configuration and deployment pipelines for web applications
  • Familiarity with source control systems (Git) and branching strategies
  • Exposure to DevSecOps practices, including security scanning, compliance, and pipeline governance
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and guiding technical direction or mentoring peers is an asset
  • Experience with CMS platforms, ORMs (e.g., Entity Framework), or package managers is considered an asset
