The Opportunity

Your Impact Starts Here - Join WSP's Canada Resources team (Industrial & Mining), supporting clients from coast to coast. Based in the greater Montréal area, you'll lead mechanical engineering for major industrial projects in sectors such as aluminum, pulp and paper, aerospace, and mining. You'll guide design delivery, mentor junior engineers and technicians, and ensure high-quality execution on complex projects that shape Québec's industrial landscape.

Your Impact
  • Lead and deliver mechanical engineering on large-scale industrial projects across Québec, from concept through detailed design and construction support.
  • Prepare and/or supervise the development of plans, specifications, and details for mechanical, industrial, mining, and institutional projects.
  • Produce and validate engineering calculations to support equipment selection, layouts, and detailed design.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and support the preparation of estimates and budget documentation.
  • Oversee the preparation of tender documents, technical specifications, and other engineering documents.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to clarify needs, present technical concepts, and communicate study results and design choices.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and drafters assigned to projects.
  • Ensure quality control of all mechanical discipline deliverables and support adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Support project managers as needed and contribute to continuous improvement in design and delivery methods.

Compensation:

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $93,700 - $124,200
MB & ON: $85,500 - $117,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $84,700 - $112,400
