Full Job Description
Integrated Software Specialist to join our talented and dedicated Integrated Software (IS) team. This opportunity will be integral to client solutions and services such as digitizing manual processes, creating custom reporting tools, machine control, IoT concepts, and much more!

The Integrated Software Specialist will apply creativity and programming skills to SCADA/MES systems creating unique solutions for clients in a wide variety of industries. If you are passionate about delivering technical solutions, mentoring others, and coordinating activities with clients, this role is for you!

Job Summary
  • Execute and lead technical tasks including:
    • Create software/digital solutions for current and new SCADA/MES clients
    • Develop code and scripting in multiple languages including JSON, Python, T-SQL, HTML, JAVA & .NET, and apply to industrial automation systems (i.e. Ignition and/or FactoryTalk SE)
    • Execute preliminary visual samples for quoting and concept purposes
    • Design detailed functional specifications and process flow diagrams
    • Integrate database applications with real time and PLC controlled automation systems
  • Participate in stand-ups, work planning, and technical reviews
  • Utilize Jira for progress updates and ticket management
  • Manage client relationships and project scope
  • Lead commissioning, testing, and debugging of automation systems (remotely or at clients' sites)
  • Ensure accurate and complete project documentation
  • Promote efficiencies and continuous improvement
  • Stay current with applicable standards, codes, and rules
  • Support clients during regular hours, after hours, and weekends as required
  • Engage in initiatives to share knowledge and support team development
  • Purchase hardware and materials for projects
  • Maintain and develop technical knowledge through training and industry events
  • Utilize non-chargeable time efficiently through approved activities
  • Identify potential projects and opportunities for RidgeTech Automation
  • Uphold company policies and submit timesheets/service reports accurately


Job Qualifications and Skills

  • Certified in Inductive Automation Ignition Platform (Core, Gold, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Database experience with creating models and optimization techniques
  • Creative mind for creating user friendly user interfaces with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to communicate well with both clients and fellow team members
  • Previous practical experience in the controls and automation industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver fully tested work
  • Quick learner, able to work independently or in a team
  • Effective time management and task ownership
  • Highly motivated team player with a positive attitude
  • Coaching skills to provide feedback and direction
  • Initiative to learn and complete training
  • Programming experience with PLCs is an asset


Additional Requirements
  • Hold and maintain a valid Class G license
