Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Intermediate Civil Engineer to join our team in our Kelowna office. In this role you will be responsible for the design and implementation of active transportation corridors, highways, streets, roads, intersections, roundabouts, and pathways.

What you'll do:
  • Focus on the design and implementation of active transportation corridors, highways, streets, roads, intersections, roundabouts, and pathways.
  • Design transportation infrastructure, including but not limited to feasibility studies, conceptual design, preliminary design, functional design, and detailed design.
  • Act as Project Engineer/ Manager on assignments with assistance of Senior Engineers.
  • Provide technical engineering leadership and/or support for delivery of projects.
  • Civil 3D Modelling.
  • Develop design models; conduct analysis and interpret resulting data.
  • Coordinate technicians and designers to ensure that drawings are accurately prepared.
  • Prepare written technical reports.
  • Provide Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance reviews on projects.
  • Prepare cost estimates and contract documents.
  • Perform Project Management tasks including communications with clients, managing schedules, budgets, and reporting requirements.
  • Providing ongoing, formal and informal, technical guidance and mentorship to staff.
  • Participate in marketing strategies and business development with clients to procure business, including writing proposals.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly; both verbally and written.
  • Coordinate subconsultants' activities on projects.
  • Execute projects in accordance with company guidelines and standards.

Does this sound like you?
  • Registered as a P.Eng. with EGBC or in another Canadian province.
  • An undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post secondary institution.
  • 8+ years of civil design experience.
  • Relevant experience in the undertaking of design, specifications, cost estimating, proposals, tendering, and construction.
  • Proven technical skills.
  • Track record in managing clients and developing client relationships.
  • Strong communication and organization skills, able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with peers and clients.
  • Committed team player.
  • Passion for mentorship and continuing education.
