Full Job Description
The role

You will own the connective tissue between Levelpath and the systems our customers already run: ERPs like NetSuite, SAP, and Oracle, plus HRIS, SSO, ticketing, e-signature, and finance tools. Some integrations you build yourself. Others are built by customer teams, and you are the engineer who guides them, unblocks them, and makes sure everything works in production.

This is a customer-facing engineering role in the truest sense. You will be on calls with customer IT and integration teams, whiteboarding data flows, debugging auth handshakes live, and turning ambiguous requirements into working pipelines. When a customer's integration engineer is stuck, you are the person who gets them moving again.

You will build with our agentic software factory, and you will improve it. The factory is optimized for exactly this work: well-specified contracts and a premium on verification. It is not perfect, and when it falls short you fix the cause, contributing tooling back so the next integration ships faster. Agents are the execution capacity here. Your job is to drive them to the outcome: unblock them when they stall, correct them when they drift, and verify what they ship.

You will also be the engineering presence in the US timezone. Our core platform team is distributed internationally, and you help anchor US-hours on-call coverage so customers get a fast, expert response no matter when things break. On-call is a real part of this role, and we invest in the observability, runbooks, and agent tooling that make it sane.

What you will do
  • Design, build, and ship integrations between Levelpath and enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, SSO/SCIM, ticketing, e-signature) using TypeScript, NestJS, and PostgreSQL in an agent-driven workflow.
  • Lead technical calls with customer engineering and IT teams: scoping, architecture reviews, debugging sessions, and go-live support.
  • Guide customers building against our GraphQL API and MCP surface, from first webhook to production cutover.
  • Harden integration paths for the realities of enterprise data: schema enforcement, validation, retries, idempotency, and graceful degradation.
  • Anchor US-hours on-call, triaging production issues and improving the tooling that makes the next incident easier.
  • Feed what you learn in the field back into the product: better connectors, better docs, better defaults.

What you bring
  • Solid backend or full-stack fundamentals with several years shipping production software.
  • Real experience with third-party APIs and integration work: REST and GraphQL, webhooks, OAuth and SAML flows, data mapping, and the patience to read someone else's API docs carefully.
  • AI-pilled, genuinely. Your instinct is to hand work to agents first, and you want to turn over as much as possible to AI, in your own workflow and in the product. You have the judgment to know when it worked.
  • A deep-seated need to ship. We believe we win by outshipping everyone, and we hire engineers who treat blockers as things to bulldoze, not things to wait on.
  • Ownership by default. No one here is just on a team. Everyone owns and leads something, and you should want that.
  • TypeScript and Node.js experience (NestJS a plus). We care more about fundamentals than exact-stack trivia.
  • PostgreSQL knowledge and comfort with Docker.
  • An incredible attitude. You genuinely enjoy customer calls, you stay calm when production is on fire, and teammates describe you as the person they want in the room when things get hard.
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal. You can explain a webhook retry policy to a customer's IT admin and a data model tradeoff to our platform team with equal clarity.

Nice to have
  • Experience with enterprise procurement, finance, or ERP ecosystems (Ariba, Coupa, NetSuite, SAP, Workday).
  • Experience with iPaaS platforms or building connector frameworks.

What we offer
  • Top salary and equity
  • AI-paced culture
  • A team that plays like pros: high standards, high growth, no passengers
  • Ability to have strong customer context and autonomy
  • 401K, Medical, Dental and Vision insurance

The estimated annual cash salary for this role is $165,000 - $240,000
