Integration Architect
Location: Parsippany, NJ


The Integration Architect role involves collaborating with OLI company experts to design and deliver solutions for operations and maintenance centered on asset performance and protective monitoring. The role also includes creating API and Cloud App solutions, exploring new ways to use OLI tools, managing large data sets, and collaborating with peers and experts to solve problems. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related field, at least 4 years of experience in a similar role, knowledge of Python programming, and familiarity with DX initiatives. A candidate that has spent time in industrial environments ("in the plant") where these solutions are deployed will have a strong advantage to win this role. This role reports to a manager and requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales and Post-Sales Support:
  • Collaborate with Client Solution Architects and Consulting Engineers to conduct detailed pre/post-sales meetings on Digital Transformation (DX) components.
  • Vet solution requests and determine solution value for operations and maintenance centered on asset performance.
  • Determine user requirements and propose initial designs for DX/operations type solutions.
  • Design and deliver solutions with the AE team for simulation builds.
  • Work with company experts (AE/TPM/Support) to provide general engineering support to DX missions.

Solution Development:
  • Create API and Cloud App solutions around asset performance, chemistry challenges, scaling, and corrosion.
  • Explore new ways to use the OLI tools to further customer DX initiatives including APIs, IoT, AI, ML, etc.
  • Collaborate with the AE team for simulation builds.
  • Provide broad support for simulation solutions provided by the AE team with automation by DX.
  • Stay educated on current technologies and upcoming trends involving industrial automation and DX.

Data Management and Analysis:
  • Knowledge and understanding of working with large data sets and how to manage them in a solution.
  • Spot data integrity issues; able to visualize data in meaningful ways; high-performance graphics.
  • Discover and solve problems and implement solutions using personal expertise in collaboration with peer team experts.
  • Establish a testing program/process with OLI teams for automated solutions.
Collaboration:
  • Recommends processes, skills, and other mechanisms to improve policies and procedures.
  • Raises issues to Team Lead as appropriate to address quality/scope/schedule.
Skills and Qualifications:
Critical Must-Have Skills:
    • Deep understanding of industrial/process data: where it lives, what it looks like, why it's messy
    • Ability to read and interpret simulation inputs/outputs
    • Pattern recognition across customer use cases: can write a clear spec
    • Enough API literacy to run a call, read a response, and say "this is right" or "this is wrong"
    • Strong documentation and communication skills: their output IS the spec

Strongly Preferred Skills:
    • Experience in a solutions/presales engineer or technical consultant role
    • Has worked between customers and a product/engineering team before (the translator role)
    • Understands data mapping - taking a customer's CSV and knowing what it needs to become
    • Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, repeatable automation solutions
    • Demonstrated experience interacting with API/SaaS/Cloud offerings
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with peers and experts
    • Familiarity with DX initiatives including APIs, IoT, IIoT, Edge, AI, ML, etc.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a client-facing environment
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
