Job Description
Maintain processes and procedures for the assembly and test of Ground-Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) IFICS Data Terminal (IDT) equipment. Coordinate integration activities with the product team technical leadership and program engineers.  Document and disposition hardware discrepancies and pursuing root cause and corrective actions. Understanding of the design and developing tooling to aid in the integration and test process. IFICS Data Terminal (IDT) product team on the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program. The candidate should have experience taking on progressively challenging responsibilities, demonstrating initiative, and driving innovative solutions. They should be recognized as a self-starter with a proven ability to lead teams, learn quickly, and deliver results in dynamic environments

This position is for a Sr Principal Integration Test role to support the IFICS Data Terminal (IDT) product team on the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program.

Essential Functions:

The candidate should have experience taking on progressively challenging responsibilities, demonstrating initiative, and driving innovative solutions.

They should be recognized as a self-starter with a proven ability to lead teams, learn quickly, and deliver results in dynamic
environments.  
The individual shall maintain processes and procedures for the assembly and test of the GMD IDT equipment. Coordinate integration activities with the product team technical leadership and program engineers. Document and disposition hardware discrepancies and pursuing root cause and corrective actions. Understanding of the design and developing tooling to aid in the integration and test process.

This is not a telework / remote position.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline with 8 years of related experience or M.S. STEM degree with 6 years of related exp.

  • Experience developing, executing, and documenting engineering integration and test activities.

  • Experience troubleshooting complex hardware and/or integrated systems.

  • Ability to interpret engineering requirements, schematics, drawings, interface documentation, and test procedures.

  • Experience analyzing test results and supporting root-cause analysis.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

  • Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hardware/software, hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing, or system-level integration and test.

  • Experience with complex defense systems, missile defense systems, command-and-control systems, radar/sensor systems, embedded

  • Experience working in an Agile or disciplined systems engineering environment is highly desirable.

Primary Level Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $168,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
