Key ResponsibilitiesThe Insurance Consultant will help leading carriers, brokers, MGAs, and specialty insurers reinvent core business functions through a combination of industry expertise, technology innovation, data-driven insights, and AI-powered transformation.
- Design and implement business and operating model transformations across key insurance functions, including Claims, Underwriting, Product Development, Distribution, Policy Administration, and Customer Service.
- Partner with insurance executives to define business strategies, identify performance improvement opportunities, and deliver high-impact transformation initiatives.
- Apply deep functional knowledge to redesign processes, operating models, workforce structures, and customer experiences while balancing growth, risk, efficiency, and service objectives.
- Lead client workshops and working sessions to document current-state processes, uncover root causes, challenge conventional thinking, and design future-state solutions.
- Leverage AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, intelligent automation, analytics, and digital technologies to solve complex business challenges and unlock new value opportunities.
- Use creative problem-solving and structured analytical approaches to address ambiguous business issues and develop practical, innovative solutions.
- Translate business needs into technology-enabled capabilities by evaluating platforms, tools, data assets, and emerging insurance technologies.
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, and industry innovations to advise clients on future-ready strategies.
- Support large-scale transformation programs from strategy through execution, driving measurable outcomes related to growth, operational efficiency, loss ratio improvement, customer experience, and employee productivity.
- Develop executive-ready presentations, business cases, roadmaps, and recommendations for senior client stakeholders.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including sales pursuits, proposals, client presentations, and thought leadership.
- Support the growth of Accenture's Insurance practice through research, capability development, innovation initiatives, and the creation of industry points of view.
Basic Qualifications- 2+ years of experience in the insurance industry and/or consulting, with exposure to one or more core functions including:
- Claims
- Underwriting
- Product Development
- Distribution
- Customer Service Operations
- Policy Administration
- Process Excellence / Business Transformation
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting insurance carriers, reinsurers, MGAs, brokers, or TPAs in transformation, operational improvement, or technology-enabled initiatives.
- Knowledge of insurance value chain processes, operating models, and technology ecosystems.
- Understanding of emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to decompose complex business problems, synthesize insights, and develop creative, practical solutions.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior business and technology leaders.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling capabilities.
- Previous consulting, business analysis, process improvement, or transformation experience preferred.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous learning, and delivering measurable business value.
- MBA, CPCU, AIC, ARM, CFA, or other relevant industry certifications are a plus.
- Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and collaboration in a professional, academic, or military environment.
