Full Job Description
SLB is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Instrumentation Superintendent leading construction execution within the Instrumentation scope in the assigned area on Data Center projects. The Instrumentation Superintendent has full field-level responsibility for coordinating and supervising construction and Instrumentation & Control activities within their scope, ensuring a safe, high-quality, and on-schedule delivery. Acting as SLB's lead representative for their area, this role provides clear direction to contractors, monitors progress daily and resolves issues in real time to maintain momentum and control across all work fronts. This position requires presence in the construction sites; candidates are to be open to domestic relocation based on project schedules & locations. Qualified candidates anywhere in the US will be considered. Relocation assistance is available to Shreveport and/or construction sites as required. Roles and Responsibilities: • Oversee day-to-day construction execution within the assigned areas related to the installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of critical control systems, sensors, PLCs and SCADA , ensuring alignment with project plans and milestones. • Conduct daily site inspections to verify progress, safety, and quality standards. • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and HSE teams to address technical queries and ensure compliance with procedures. • Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and coordination sessions with contractors to reinforce expectations and resolve issues. • Validate progress claims, manpower levels, and productivity against the approved schedule and plan • Provide accurate input for weekly and monthly progress reports, including forecasts and recovery actions where needed. • Support interface management by ensuring smooth coordination between contractors and disciplines working in adjacent areas. • Maintain strong working relationships with contractor supervisors and client field representatives. Qualifications And Experience: • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management. Equivalent progressive site-based construction experience in supervisory or management roles will be considered. • 20 years of construction experience with significant site leadership responsibility on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects in the Instrumentation & Control discipline • Proven capability managing multiple subcontractors and high-volume work fronts concurrently • Strong understanding of the Instrumentation and control systems within a construction site and abide to code and regulations. • Strong understanding of field execution, sequencing, and construction coordination across disciplines • Demonstrated record of safe, high-quality, on-time delivery in complex, fast-track environments • Experience in Data Center or mission-critical facility construction is highly preferred • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. • Professional certification in Construction Management or Site Supervision is preferred. • Formal training in Advanced HSE or Quality Leadership is preferred. • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship. #LI-BB1 .
