Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 8 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Experience as a technical lead or in a technical leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
- Experience with artificial intelligence/machine learning.
- Experience with abuse detection.
- Experience with technical writing, distributed computing, and C .
- Ability to led the technical roadmap or architecture definition for a multi-team or cross-organizational domain spanning a 2 year horizon.
Responsibilities - Define the multi-year technical roadmap for the Egregious Abuse domain to anticipate emerging threats and architect long-term defensive infrastructure.
- Oversee high-scale distributed systems and advanced ML/heuristic defense mechanisms, balancing technical precision, privacy, and user trust.
- Lead large-scale initiatives across Google product areas and advise senior partners (Legal, Policy, Trust & Safety) on safety infrastructure and global regulations.
- Set engineering standards to improve developer velocity, system reliability (SLOs), and operability across the site.
- Mentor and sponsor tech leads, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous growth.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
