Contributes to the overall success of the Global Network Engineering / GTEP in a Global Enterprise
environment ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of
the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with
governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank
relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Engages as an advanced escalation resource for complex network incidents when GNOC / Level 2 support is unable
to restore service or when incidents are classified as major, applying established standards, approved methods, and
sound technical judgment to support analysis, recovery, and service restoration.
• Provides advanced engineering support for enterprise network services by validating configurations, gathering
technical requirements, and supporting implementation and operational readiness for technologies such as traffic
engineering, Zscaler, IPS, switching, routing, firewalls, SD-WAN, F5 and DTC, while owning specific deliverables in
projects, changes, incidents, or service improvement initiatives, and ensuring solutions are aligned with global
standards and are testable and maintainable.
• Collaborates effectively with engineering, operations, security, and vendor teams to support high-impact issues,
follows established incident, problem, and change management processes, shares technical knowledge with peers,
and contributes to the team's quality of delivery, operational effectiveness, and prioritization through adherence to preestablished global network standards.
• Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and
decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with
Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy,
adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to
operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
• University degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Network Engineering,
Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience supporting enterprise network environments in an advanced support,
engineering, or escalation capacity, particularly for complex or major incidents.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and platforms including traffic engineering,
routing, switching, firewalls, IPS, TCP/IP, and enterprise network design principles, with
practical understanding of the business requirements and services supported by these
technologies.
• Working knowledge of SD-WAN, Zscaler, F5, DTC, and related secure access and
application delivery technologies, with the ability to broaden technical capabilities,
learn, and adapt to new platforms as required.
• Familiarity with ITSM disciplines including incident, problem, and change management,
with the ability to follow established processes and governance requirements.
• Strong analytical, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to work
effectively in a team environment, share knowledge, and support continuous
improvement of network services.
• Spanish language skills are an asset
