Job Description

ECS is seeking an Infrastructure Management-VMWare Technicians - Journeyman to support the Army National Guard's critical IT infrastructure and cybersecurity operations. The Army National Guard (ARNG) Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support (ENOCS) program delivers comprehensive enterprise IT infrastructure, WAN, cybersecurity, and associated services to the ARNG and its mission partners. The program supports more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 sites spanning 54 states and territories, enabling Title 10 and Title 32 missions, domestic emergency response operations, mobilization readiness, and classified SIPRNet operations.

Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Task 4 - Enterprise Operations Support - provides 24/7/365 network monitoring, control, and management from the RCC-ARNG Network Operations Center (NOC) over classified and unclassified networks, delivering DoDIN services including data, voice, and video across the ARNG's distributed enterprise infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain VMware virtualization environments, ensuring optimal performance and resource allocation.
  • Manage host and cluster operations, applying necessary patches and system updates.
  • Monitor performance and capacity metrics to ensure efficient virtualization operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, supporting incident restoration activities.
  • Validate and maintain backup and disaster recovery configurations.
  • Document configuration changes and maintain accurate system records.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security requirements and configuration management controls.
  • Support resource allocation activities to meet operational demands.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance virtualization strategies and solutions.


Required Qualifications
  • Clearance: Secret Eligible required
  • S. Citizenship required
  • DoD 8140.03 Compliance: DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 451-System Administrator at the Intermediate proficiency level
  • Certifications (one or more required): Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP
  • Education: Bachelors in [Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering]
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in supporting enterprise virtualization and hosting environments within DoD or Federal networks
  • Proven experience in administering VMware virtualization platforms and managing virtual machines
  • Demonstrated ability to apply patches, implement system updates, and perform capacity analysis
  • Experience in troubleshooting platform issues and supporting incident restoration efforts
  • Ability to ensure compliance with enterprise cybersecurity policies and availability standards
