Job Title: Infrastructure Equity, Associate Director

Corporate Title: Associate Director

Business Unit: Global Infrastructure Equity

Location: New York City

As part of Barings9 newly formed and expanding Global Infrastructure Equity group, the Associate Director will play a key role supporting the full investment lifecycle across core, coreplus, and valueadd infrastructure opportunities. This role will take lead responsibility for underwriting and execution workstreams, while partnering closely with senior investment professionals on transaction strategy, asset management, and portfolio construction as the platform continues to scale.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial modeling and underwriting efforts, and coordinate key diligence workstreams with internal stakeholders and external advisors
  • Develop and maintain sector expertise across power, transportation, energy transition, digital infrastructure, and utilities to support investment sourcing and thesis development
  • Own preparation of screening memos, valuation analyses, and investment recommendations for internal review and Investment Committee
  • Lead workstreams for Investment Committee deliverables, including drafting materials, coordinating inputs, and managing data room processes
  • Support transaction structuring and documentation, contributing to negotiations under guidance of senior team members
  • Take active responsibility for asset-level monitoring, including KPI tracking, valuation updates, and performance analysis across the portfolio
  • Partner cross-functionally with asset management, capital markets, and investor relations teams, including contributing to investor materials and portfolio updates

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor9s degree required, with Business or Finance preferred.
  • 59-8+ years of relevant work experience in investment banking or private equity
  • Experience in analyzing financial statements and conducting due diligence
  • Advanced financial modeling capabilities, including project finance and infrastructure-specific valuation methodologies
  • Familiarity with sectors such as energy transition, digital infra, transportation, and utility infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage workstreams and synthesize investment insights
  • Strong IC writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CFA/CAIA progress a plus
  • Exposure to refinancings, bolt-ons, or asset-level KPIs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; interact with members of senior management, executives and line staff in a positive and collegial manner
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to operate autonomously with transparency and integrity

Base Salary Range: $170,000- $200,000 plus additional incentives
