Key Accountabilities
Design and automate private cloud infrastructure and technology solutions that support reliable, scalable applications.
Manage incident and problem resolution by troubleshooting connectivity, infrastructure, and communication issues and identifying root causes.
Automate testing, configuration, release, and deployment processes using infrastructure-as-code and modern DevOps practices.
Monitor infrastructure capacity, availability, and performance to identify issues and recommend improvements.
Maintain hardware and software inventories, network diagrams, technical documentation, and system records to support ongoing operations.
Partner with service providers, technology teams, business partners, and leadership to resolve issues and strengthen infrastructure solutions.
Support business resilience efforts by maintaining disaster recovery documentation and participating in Business Resumption Readiness testing.
Coach and mentor engineers through knowledge sharing, technical guidance, and training while helping shape technology direction.
Education & Experience
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
8+ years of experience with the VMware portfolio, including VCF, SRM, vSAN, NSX, and HCX.
5+ years of experience with Terraform Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management such as Ansible, GitHub Actions, and container solutions.
5+ years of experience with PowerShell, HashiCorp HCL, RESTful APIs, YAML/JSON, and PowerCLI.
Preferred
2+ years of experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and Group Policy.
2+ years of experience with SAN arrays, NAS, Cisco UCS, Dell PowerFlex, and Pure Storage.
2+ years of experience supporting Windows Server and Red Hat operating systems.
VMware VCF, Microsoft, HashiCorp, Ansible, or other relevant vendor certifications.
