Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and solutions-driven Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join our Shared Services IT team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Norland's on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, scalability, and performance of business-critical infrastructure and cloud services across the organization. This position works closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support cloud adoption initiatives, infrastructure modernization, automation, cybersecurity, and operational excellence

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Manage and maintain Azure services, Microsoft 365 platforms, Windows Server, Linux systems, and virtualization environments.
  • Support core infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Implement and maintain cloud governance, security controls, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms including SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, and OneDrive.
  • Automate infrastructure and administrative tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Support vulnerability management, patching, system hardening, and overall infrastructure security best practices.
  • Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 technical support and participate in incident response and on-call rotations as required.
  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to deliver reliable and scalable IT solutions.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Preferably 10-15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, systems administration, or enterprise IT operations.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, hybrid cloud environments, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows Server, Linux, virtualization platforms (Hyper-V/VMware), and core infrastructure services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, MFA, identity lifecycle management, and infrastructure security best practices.
  • Strong scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of networking, cybersecurity, monitoring, disaster recovery, and enterprise IT operations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure, ITIL, VMware, Cisco, PMP, PRINCE2, CompTIA Security+, or Power Platform certifications are considered an asset.


Compensation:

The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical starting salary range of $100,000 to $125,000 per annum. Variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
