Full Job Description
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full- Installation Information System Security Manager (ISSM), GS-2210-12, at the 375th Communication Squadron, Scott AFB, Belleville, IL.

Salary Rate: $89,000 - 101,000

Relocation incentives may be available based on eligibility.

Depending on the type of position you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.

In this role, the Installation Information System Security Manager (ISSM) has the primary responsibility for maintaining situational awareness and initiating actions for the non-secure internet protocol router network (NIPR Net) and the secure internet protocol router network (SIPR Net) to improve or restore the information assurance (IA) posture as well as conducting annual security reviews of all IA controls and a test of selected IA controls. Responsible for all network information protection operations, maintenance, planning, programming, budgeting, policy development/enforcement and directing to include all aspects of boundary protection, intrusion detection, and vulnerability assessment.

US citizenship is required

Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret Clearance

This is a designated drug testing position

Comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of IT principles, concepts, methods, advancements, policies, design, development, testing and applications, both hardware and software sufficient to assess the organization's IT compliancy requirements.

Expert knowledge of customers' business processes and operations to assist them with information technology insertion and integration.

Comprehensive knowledge of the organization's policy and planning formulation process along with its missions, goals, and objectives to review IT policies and plans.

Comprehensive knowledge of systems architecture, integration techniques, and testing methods sufficient to conduct feasibility studies.

Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA
