Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking an Information System Security Analyst to support our Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland location.

The selected candidate will be a member of our dynamic Aberdeen Maryland team and will work on essential activities to manage and assess the effectiveness of information security and cyber protection programs critical to the Department of Defense.

Our team supports the cybersecurity of software products and their use on enterprise networks by analyzing, developing, and assessing processes for risk management to help secure information systems. Our PeopleTec employee-owners are key members of a cybersecurity team that integrates information security requirements, privacy needs, and risk management activities throughout the development life cycle of US Government software operating in multi-service environments. We assist in defending key networks through our understanding of process control mechanisms for obtaining authorization decisions to support cybersecurity management as well as developing technical security solutions for software and classified Department of Defense information systems.   • Understanding and developing solutions to support emerging needs in a dynamic environment
  • Identifying vulnerabilities and making timely recommendations balancing cybersecurity resources and program needs
  • Supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment, authorization, and approval processes
  • Managing artifacts, establishing and monitoring inheritance relationships, and collaborating on security compliance development


The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) application and process, will have successfully deployed software products to the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and thrive in a team environment.

Duties Include:
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to the JTCG/ME Program Office and Integrated Product Teams using technical knowledge in the area of cybersecurity.
  • Participate in the planning, development, implementation, and documentation of technical security solutions for software throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Develop, update, and execute RMF strategic planning and road mapping of RMF actions required for multiple software packages.
  • Develop and update documentation and artifact information assurance requirements for JTCG/ME products.
  • Serve as the administrator of JTCG/ME Product eMASS instances and serve as the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) / Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for software products.
  • Coordinate with other ISSMs/ISSOs, Security Control Accessors, and Authorizing Officials as necessary to ensure cybersecurity requirements for JTCG/ME efforts and programs are met.
  • Consult and support (Development, Security, Operation) DevSecOps development line analyses and on-boarding activities for the Program Office and JTCG/ME Integrated Product Teams


Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor of science and 7 years' experience in cybersecurity with a detailed knowledge of the RMF process and eMASS administration.
  • Security+ CE or higher DoD 8570 Certification
  • Experience with common programming languages (e.g., C/C++/C#, Java)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to relevant DoD instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ideal candidate should be a self-starter and problem solver who can manage time and expectations efficiently
  • Experience with static code analysis/dynamic analysis
  • Travel: Up to 5%
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university and at least 7 years' experience. Three (3) years of additional experience may substitute for the Bachelor's degree.
