How you'll make an Impact
Under the direction of the Director of Client Strategy, the IT Advisor provides IT documentation, roadmap, and budget services to all existing Ntiva clients. In this mostly autonomous role, the Advisor acts as a consultant comparing a clients' network/security environment to the technology stack at Ntiva. The by-product of this effort is to develop stronger client relationships and stay proactive about our clients' IT environments while driving more service and procurement opportunities to the client experience team.

Location and Work Expectations

  • This is a remote position; however, team members should be willing and able to travel if the need arises, though such travel is expected to be infrequent. Candidates with proximity to one of our Centers of Excellence are preferred (Lombard, IL; McLean, VA; Shreveport, LA; Overland Park, KS).
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.


What you will be doing

  • Manage a portfolio of 45-55 client accounts.
  • Schedule annual IT reviews and mid-year reviews with assigned clients
  • Review and update documentation for client systems
  • Perform annual IT reviews, providing upgrade recommendations and budget estimates.
  • Collaborate with the account manager and vCISO for security assessments during client reviews.
  • Perform mid-year IT reviews, summarizing completed initiatives and discussing outstanding projects.
  • Address client advisory requests within 24 hours, covering various technology inquiries and concerns. Consult with client's vCIO for large, out of scope, projects.
  • Collaborate with the Ntiva security team for all security risk assessments
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients with clear communication and clear expectation management
  • Work with Solutions Architect team to ensure technical scope of work on client projects are set up for success
  • Maintain minimum billable utilization per job metrics
  • Have a clear understanding of business objectives to be able to recommend technology solutions and be able to speak to them, presenting the business case
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong reasoning skills when advocating for technology choices and finding optimal solutions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of our vendor's offerings
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, and participate in technology communities
  • Learn and follow Ntiva's guidelines on preferred solutions that match our technology stack and help guide clients to those standards when applicable
  • Address questions from Client Experience team in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Attend existing client presentations and strategy sessions as needed
  • Be proactive in all communications
  • Possess exceptional communication and analytical skills, demonstrating the capability to advocate for technology decisions effectively, while also empathetically considering alternative perspectives to arrive at optimal solutions for all stakeholders.


You'll be successful in this role if you have

  • Minimum 5-years of experience in information technology
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in consulting, advising, or solutions architecting within the IT industry, demonstrating a proven track record of successful client management and technology solution implementation
  • Associate of Applied Science degree or higher
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills with a dedication to client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication skills, encompassing active listening, information gathering, coordination, and clear transmission of information between the customer and the team, consistently achieving a 100% satisfaction rate in meeting expectations
  • Ability to work under pressure, while maintaining a tactful and professional demeanor
  • Requires an excellent knowledge of Windows computing environments, including MS Windows Server platforms, and MS Office Suites, Office 365, Azure, Networking, Licensing, Virtualization, SharePoint, Endpoint Manager, etc.
  • Requires a good knowledge of computer hardware, computer software, and peripherals.

The base pay range for this position is expected to be between $75,000.00 and $90,000.00 per year. The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, and PTO. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Workspace Requirements and Remote Work Policy
Team members must establish a dedicated safe workspace that is free from distractions, hazards, and that is secure from unauthorized access. This includes following Ntiva's IT User and Security Policies that include but are not limited to password-protecting all equipment, keeping confidential and proprietary documents secure, refraining from using public Wi-Fi, having adequate arrangements in place to avoid significant interruptions from caregiving responsibilities during work hours (except in emergency situations with manager approval). Any remote work away from a team member's normal expected dedicated safe workspace must be requested by team member, is subject to review by management, and must adhere to Ntiva policies and procedures.
