Full Job Description
Position Overview

This position provides subject matter expertise to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center's (NASIC's) Information Security program. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting government security specialists to manage NASIC27s security inspections, security incidents, classification management and security education and training activities.

Responsibilities
  • Support security incedent processing
  • Assist in the development and execution of a self-inspection program to assess compliance with regulatory requirements. 20
  • Review and update compliance items within the 22Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT)22 database in preparation for government validation.
  • Develop inspection schedule, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage the inspection calendar.
  • Review and update existing inspection materials to align with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain standardized inspection checklists, templates, and guidance documentation
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of classification guides
  • Receive, track and process requests for Mandatory Declassification Reviews. Manage referral taskers via WSMS to coordinate with Original Classification Authorities for classification determinations. Prepare response letters to requesters outlining NASIC27s declassification decisions and any applicable exemptions..
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive training calendar that includes all scheduled security education and training sessions (i.e, newcomers, quarterly refresher, annual requirements).
  • Assist A4S with NASIC27s quarterly Center Security Professionals (CSP) meeting activities.
  • Coordinate and schedule all training sessions, considering instructor availability, participant availability, and room availability. Communication of the schedule to instructors and participants.
  • Reserve appropriate conference rooms or training facilities for each training session, ensuring they meet the necessary requirements (e.g., size, equipment).
  • Prepare and distribute training materials (e.g., handouts, presentations, online resources) to participants.
  • Ensure that all necessary equipment (e.g., projectors, computers, audio-visual equipment) is available and functioning properly for each training session.
  • Implement and maintain a system for tracking employee attendance at training sessions.
  • Generate reports on employee attendance at training sessions.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI
  • Strong knowledge of applicable directives, policies, and procedures used for AF SCIF information security assurance.
  • A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree, 6 years with a Masters degree or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge and experience enforcing security policies and procedures.
  • Experienced in the management of a cleared facility.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
