Full Job Description
As an Information Security Engineer III, you will provide ownership and accountability for securing Azure services and supporting the organization's cloud strategy. In this role you will contribute to reducing operational risk, strengthen the organization's security posture, and ensure Azure adoption continues in a secure and sustainable manner while meeting regulatory and enterprise security expectations.

- You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in core security principles across multiple domains, including identity and access management, cryptography, and network security protocols (e.g., TLS, SSH), as well as secure coding fundamentals
- You have experience securing large scale cloud environments, protecting heavily regulated data, and implementing Azure security controls, supporting compliance requirements, and enabling secure cloud operations across the cloud platform
- You have hands-on experience applying security frameworks like NIST SP 800-53 and CIS Benchmarks to harden systems and ensure compliance with best practices, as well as evaluating system configurations against these standards
- You have experience expanding infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform) and GitOps automation as the default provisioning path, including policy-as-code and IaC security scanning; build CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) with automated testing and controlled promotion; eliminate manual, unrepeatable changes
- You are proficient with scripting utilizing Python and PowerShell
- Preferred cloud and automation certifications: AWS Solutions Architect - Professional or DevOps Engineer - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), or Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
- Preferred security and identity certifications: ISC2 CISSP or CCSP, CSA CCSK, Microsoft AZ-500, SC-300, SC-100, or MD-102, AWS Security - Specialty, CKS, or CompTIA Security+/CySA+.
Charlotte Base Salary Range: $121,554-$194,486
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
