The Manor offers comprehensive short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing services for adults ages 18 and older. The Manor is seeking an Infection Control Coordinator to oversee the facility's Infection Control program.
Responsibilities
- Acts as resource to hospital personnel and community regarding infection control issues.
- Counsels individuals having HIV testing and/or HIV disease.
- Maintains records and prepares reports related to infection control data.
- Develops and conducts in-service education programs, in conjunction with staff development, on subjects pertinent to infection control policies.
- Reports all required data to local and state authorities in a timely manner.
- Informs Infection Control Committee members of pertinent problems in their areas and assists in the management and follow-up on these problems.
- Develops and circulates minutes of the Infection Control Committee Meetings as facilitator of this committee.
- Performs epidemiologic investigations of all significant infection problems and makes appropriate recommendations to staff and physicians.
- Prepares and interprets all hospital infection control policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA, state, local and Joint Commission infection control regulations.
- Coordinates, implements, educates and oversees hospital wide infection control program.
- Maintains close communication with the employee health department regarding infection control related issues.
Qualifications
- Completion of LPN Program or Bachelor's degree required.
- A minimum of three years of experience as a clinical nurse.
- Current NJ RN or LPN license required.
- CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training (Long-Term Care Infection Prevention Certification) required.
- Certified Infection Control (CIC) certification preferred.
- HIV/AIDS certified counselor preferred.
- Knowledge of basic microbiology required.
- Familiarity with NJDOH, DEP, EPA and Joint Commission regulations required.
- Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.
Compensation Range: $93,600 - $159,120 annually
The compensation above reflects the established range from CentraState Healthcare System (CSHS) for this position at the time the job was posted. CSHS considers many factors to determine compensation, including education, experience, skills, licenses, certification, and training. As such, team member compensation may fall outside this range.
Additionally, the compensation range reflects base salary and does not include extra shift rates or incentives tied to quality, productivity, etc., as applicable.

Benefits as are made available to other similarly situated team members of CSHS, although participation is at all times in accordance with and subject to the eligibility and other provisions of such plans and programs.
