The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Flight Chief over the Installation Flight within the 402 MXSS overseeing work orders and projects from acceptance, planning, and execution to closure. This position also oversees the production support section providing expertise and support to the Maintenance Flight through planning, scheduling, and equipment specialist involvement. Exercises 2nd level (or higher) technical and administrative supervisory personnel management responsibilities for 25% or more during duty time over subordinate employees predominately in the Equipment, Facilities, and Services Group and journey level or higher. As an Industrial Production Manager (GSU Flight Chief), plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and logistics related objectives. Participates in special logistics related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Identifies the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals. Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
1. Mastery knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support.
2. Ability to plan, organize, and direct, mentor, motivate and appraise the staff of a medium to large sized organization. Extensive knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Extensive knowledge of principles and practices of team building, developing interpersonal relationships, maintaining good working relationships, and leading members as a cooperative team. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
4. Ability to utilize Art of Possible (AoP) concepts and initiatives to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.
