Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot various systems including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical.
  • Contact manufacturers for technical support on equipment issues.
  • Complete system support tasks such as temperature adjustments and calibrations as trained.
  • Maintain compliance with documentation standards related to maintenance and regulations.
  • Execute assigned Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks and work orders on schedule.
  • Train team members in processes and procedures.

Full Job Description
Job Summary: Reporting to Maintenance, the Licensed Millwright is responsible for performing reactive, assigned, and preventative maintenance on all production and supporting equipment within the facility, as well as diagnosing, troubleshooting, and providing mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical/process/controls/HMI system support on all equipment. Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing position. Compensation: $40.00/hr Roles & Responsibilities: • Assembles, disassembles, installs, repairs, and/or fabricates as needed to maintain machinery, equipment, spare parts, tooling, change-parts, or facility in accordance to technical manuals/schematics/blueprints/SOPs/standard practices/experience/site resources/OEM resources as needed. • Diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical/process/automation/HMI control problems and corrects as required in accordance to technical manuals/schematics/blueprints/SOPs/standard practices/experience/site resources/OEM resources as needed. • Contact manufacturers for technical support/diagnosing/troubleshooting • Completes other system support work (temperature controller adjustments, calibrations, PMs, etc.) as trained. • Complies with PM, SOP, GPP, and regulatory requirements. • Completes documentation (work orders, PMs, calibration forms, validation documents, etc.) to GPP/SOP standards. • Executes assigned PMs and work orders as scheduled on time • Supports on-site contractors as necessary for PM or project activity. • Updates the CMMS with the required information. • Training team members in processes and procedures is required. • Maintains tools, toolboxes, and shop areas in compliance with GPP/SOP standards. • Required to work shift work or as required. • Performs other duties/projects as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements: • Ontario Red Seal Industrial Mechanic Licensed Millwright and/or Electrician tickets and proof of completion of Apprenticeship program with 5 years of industrial experience in manufacturing industry. • Excellent knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes. • Skilled in root cause analysis for equipment problems. • Superior trouble shooting skills (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, HMls, PLCs. etc) and understanding of automation. • Strong communication skills. • Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet including Scissor lifts and ladders. • Experience in the following: shop tools, lathe, mills, grinders, drill presses, precision measurement instruments, power tools, technical manuals/schematics/blueprints, troubleshooting, controllers, HMI, PLCs, calibration, and engineering drawings. • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures. • Knowledge of First Aid and CPR an asset.
