Full Job Description
The purpose of this position is to support the Quality System needs of the IGT Division-San Antonio Service Center and provide a resource for developing and implementing good Quality practices while supporting the Division's overall business objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Quality Auditing: Conduct In-Process operations audits and Quality System Audits of the IGT Division to assure proper practices and verifications are being used and to identify and drive improvement. Support customer audits as required.
  • Quality Improvement: Coordinate the Quality Incident Process and apply Root Cause Analysis to ensure learning and prevent future incidents. Collect, maintain & analyze Cost of Quality and Cost of EBIT data to help drive continuous improvement & resolve high-impact or repetitive Quality problems. Initiate Quality Alerts and Technical Bulletins where applicable.
  • Quality Management: Coordinate regular Quality/Management Reviews to review Division performance against goals/objectives - establish, implement, and track improvement priorities.
  • Document Development & Control: Prepare, develop, & maintain needed work instructions/procedures & data/check sheets to support the business processes.
  • Supplier Management: Monitor Supplier Quality performance. Support the qualification of new Suppliers. Work with Key Suppliers to improve their Quality performance, where needed. Audit new & existing suppliers where needed.
  • ISO 9001 Compliance: Achieve and maintain ISO 9001 Quality Certification by assuring compliance with all applicable ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Gauge/Instrument Calibration: Assure consistent tracking & calibration of IGT gauges, standards, & test equipment.
  • Establish & develop effective lines of communication with IGT and MD&A personnel, supervisors/managers, and customers where applicable.
  • Provide Quality training to employees on their responsibilities for supporting the Quality System and Division business objectives.


Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering degree
  • Experience: 5+ years of related field experience (Power Industry - Steam/Gas Turbines)
  • Knowledge: Process knowledge in the Power Industry; detailed knowledge & proficiency in Quality Systems - ISO requirements familiarity; Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventive Action; proficiency in current PC technology & effective use of software to create forms/documents.
  • Analytical & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision - self-starter; Ability to effectively perform & contribute to a team environment; Effectively work with & accomplish multiple priorities; Effective organizational and communication skills; Customer focused; Ability to identify, analyze, & solve Quality problems with practical solutions; Provide technical guidance on Quality issues.
  • Physical Demands: Exposure to industrial and office environments; Ability to travel to field locations when required.

Salary Description

103,000 - 125,000 + Performance Bonus (DOE)
