Job/Position SummaryResponsibilities:Logistics & Material Flow Design- Design, develop, and optimize end-to-end material flow processes across manufacturing and assembly operations.
- Implement efficient line-side material presentation, kitting strategies, and warehouse layouts to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Develop and maintain Plan for Every Part (PFEP) and ensure accurate material routing and storage strategies.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Support- Lead or support logistics readiness for new product launches, ensuring systems, inventory, and processes are fully prepared.
- Configure and validate BOMs, routing structures, and logistics system data for new components.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement) to ensure successful NPI execution.
Inventory & Production Support- Ensure high material availability to meet production schedules while minimizing inventory levels.
- Monitor and manage inventory accuracy, stock levels, and replenishment strategies.
- Support production teams in resolving material shortages, bottlenecks, and logistics-related disruptions.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives- Drive Lean Manufacturing and WCM-aligned initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead or participate in Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and process improvement projects.
- Implement solutions to reduce material waste, lead times, and operational costs.
Data Analysis & System Optimization- Analyze logistics and supply chain data using tools such as ERP/MRP systems, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities in logistics operations.
- Maintain high levels of data integrity across systems and physical inventory.
Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination- Collaborate with suppliers, procurement teams, and global stakeholders to ensure smooth material flow.
- Support purchase order execution, supplier performance tracking, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Improve interdepartmental communication and reduce operational delays.
Requirements:Education- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience- 2-5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing operations, preferably in automotive or heavy equipment industries.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and production environments.
Technical Skills- Strong knowledge of material flow, PFEP, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Operational Expertise- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, JIT, Kanban, FMEA, and DMAIC methodologies.
- Experience with time studies, process mapping (VSM), and workflow optimization.
