What you'll do

As an Industrial Electrician, you'll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape. Your day-to-day:
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, instrumentation, and process control systems to minimize downtime.
  • Read, interpret, and update electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Maintain LV/HV electrical systems in compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
  • Replace obsolete electrical components and support equipment upgrades.
  • Participate in installations, start-ups, shutdowns, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, including work orders and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Support emergency repairs outside regular shifts as needed.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors when required.
  • Train and support coworkers and collaborate with millwrights and other trades.
  • Experience with safety circuits, CATIV testing equipment, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC motor control systems, drives, and control panels.
  • Competent using CMMS software to manage maintenance activities.
  • LOTO experience and strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.
