Principal Accountabilities- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layouts for industrial electrical equipment installations
- Install, examine, replace, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
- Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors
- Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and related equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance activities and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Troubleshoot and install fire alarm systems and support construction-related electrical projects
- Work with and maintain Allen-Bradley VFDs and 600-volt distribution systems (MCCs)
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications- Certified Journeyperson Electrician ticket recognized in Alberta
- Three (3) to five (5) years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial environment
- Expertise with Canadian Electrical Code and industrial electrical systems
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining: Allen-Bradley PLCs and VFDs / Motor Control Centers (MCCs) / 600V electrical distribution systems / Electrical motors and control circuits / Hydraulic and pneumatic control systems / Switchgear and transformers
- Experience with fire alarm installation and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- Proficient in electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications- PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
- Working knowledge of automation systems and industrial networks
- Relevant certifications as Industrial Electrician
- Red Seal ticket
