Location: ADL Water St., 79 Water St., Summerside, PE
Schedule: 4-day, 10-hour shifts for a better work-life balance, with occasional overtime when needed; weekend and evening availability is required as part of a rotating on-call pager schedule.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, controls, and automation equipment
- Diagnose electrical issues and respond to equipment breakdowns efficiently
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Work with PLCs and control systems to troubleshoot and improve production processes
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies
- Participate in equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support maintenance shutdowns and assist in coordinating work with contractors when required
- Maintain accurate records in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Assist with inventory management of electrical parts and supplies
- Promote and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Essential Qualifications and Skills:- Red Seal certification as an Industrial Electrician
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, VFDs, sensors, and control panels
- Experience with PLCs and industrial automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices
- Strong understanding of safety standards and electrical codes
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Assets (Preferred but Not Required):- Experience in food manufacturing or a regulated production environment
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
- Experience with instrumentation and process control systems
- Project coordination or electrical installation experience
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems
