Job Summary:The Indirect Inventory Manager is responsible for leading the Indirect Inventory Team which ensures indirect parts and materials are available when needed by the organization. The ideal candidate will know what a World Class Material Handling & Logistics Operations looks like and able to implement that vision into the current organization.
Essential Duties:- Lead and manage the Indirect Inventory Team including Exempt and Nonexempt direct reports.
- Fully manage the full lifecycle of exempt and nonexempt employees including reviews, rewards, performance management and development.
- Manage inventories of all maintenance repair parts and manufacturing consumables.
- Implement required exception reports to assist in the above function (examples Parts Warranty tracking, Shortage & Impound reports).
- Develop required enablers to avoid reactive part shortages
- Control and maintain the parts storage areas in an orderly and organized way that efficiently supports plant operations to include visual management.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Planning Team and maintenance/production supervisors to forecast and ensure required parts and consumables are in stock for scheduled maintenance actions and production runs.
- Preassemble parts kits for scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) actions.
- BOM creation/maintenance.
- Develop visual management process for main and satellite storerooms.
- Develop Vendor Managed Inventory relationships with suppliers to ensure best use of internal resources.
- Develop a robust cycle count process that can be tracked for deltas with Root Cause identification and adjustment of processes to remove failures.
- Develop min/max levels and ability to monitor parts being ordered by subcontracted suppliers
- Develop min/max levels for all parts and auto order where applicable for parts that hit min counts.
- Create purchase order requisitions and place orders with vendors after the proper approvals are in place.
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management and purchasing software systems proactively to ensure efficient flow of storeroom and parts.
- Know the department budget and stay within the budgetary limits.
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for correct and timely payments.
- Tracks and publishes key supply metrics, such as order fill rate, forecast accuracy, inventory accuracy, supplier reliability, and other common supply chain metrics.
- Prepares reports and analysis as required to support prevent reoccurrence of part shortage issues
- Responsible for operating within policies & procedures and maintaining compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements; including compliance with Occupational Health and Safety procedures and Safe Start practices.
- Flexibility to take on last minute job assignments
- Goal: No downtime due to spare part shortages
- Goal: Inventory to improved spare parts inventory accuracy; improved forecasting requirements accuracy
- Goal: Quality and Customer Satisfaction: reduced machine downtime awaiting parts, increased on-hand reliability of production consumables
- Goal: Safety is to work incident free
- Financial, EBITDA, cash flow: increased accuracy of stock requirements and improved control of assets
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:- To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

QualificationsRequirements - Required and/or PreferredEducation:- Basic/Required: Bachelor's degree
Essential Qualifications:- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment leading Material Handling and Logistics operations
- Must have 5+ years' experience in parts ordering, storing, and inventory control position(s).
- Able to summarize reports and present data to executive management
- Be able to analyze failure modes and recommend prevent reoccurrence actions
- Resilient and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail
- Able to complete and pass a Maintenance Competency test.
- Must have high level of organizational skills.
- Experience in leading Material Handling and Logistics Operations.
- Must have strong computer skills and experience in extracting and analyzing data using information system reporting tools such as an ERP system, computerized maintenance management system, or M/S Excel/Access.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal, teambuilding and leadership skills
- Must have an awareness of and the ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Safety guidelines.
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
Preferred Qualifications:- Understanding of lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies through application
- OSHA10 Card

Preferred Certification(s):- Operator-level certification
- Green Belt Certified
