Ready to expand your impact across multiple manufacturing operations? As the Incoming Quality Supervisor, you will provide quality oversight and leadership for incoming material inspection and release activities supporting both the Radioligand Therapy Drug Product and Isotopes manufacturing sites in Indianapolis. In this highly visible role, you will lead a team of quality professionals, ensure the timely availability of materials for Good Manufacturing Practice operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support regulatory inspection readiness. This is an excellent opportunity for an internal associate to broaden leadership experience, strengthen cross-functional partnerships, and play a key role in delivering high-quality therapies to patients.


Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead incoming quality inspection activities to support Drug Product and Isotopes manufacturing operations.
  • Provide daily leadership, coaching, and development for the Raw Material and Incoming Quality Inspection teams.
  • Schedule and oversee testing of all incoming raw materials used in GMP manufacturing, including consumables and primary packing materials, to ensure timely release for manufacturing.
  • Review and approve GMP documentation associated with materials control, and review, approve and revise standard operating procedures pertaining to the disposition of raw materials.
  • Lead investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions related to raw martials testing.
  • Interface with third party laboratories to support testing schedules and material release timelines.
  • Serve as a quality subject matter expert during regulatory inspections and audits.

Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related experience.
  • Minimum five years of quality control experience, including experience in an aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. 0-1 years of Leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of material sampling, analytical techniques, manufacturing operations, GMP requirements, and the principles behind them.
  • Direct experience with investigations and root cause analysis in pharmaceutical or medical device environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a collaborative environment.

Desirable Requirements
  • Experience supporting advanced therapies, including Radioligand Therapy manufacturing environments.
  • Experience successfully leading Health Authority Audits and Inspections, including, front and/or back room, readiness, strategy and response to findings and observations.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Five S principles.

The salary for this position is expected to range between $89,600 and $166,400 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
