Job Description:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The primary purpose of this position is to support implementation of the Climate Equity and Resilience through Action (CERTA) program by coordinating program activities, monitoring compliance, and analyzing data to inform decision-making. This position evaluates applications and reports for adherence to program requirements, assists in developing and maintaining operational procedures, and provides technical guidance to program participants and partners.

This position is eligible for hybrid remote work, with a work schedule of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. The incumbent will be expected to be physically at the central workplace located at 550 Capitol St. NE in Salem, Oregon, at least six (6) times per year. This includes attendance at pre-scheduled in-person all-staff meetings. The position may also be required to work at the central workplace on a more frequent basis with advance notice, as needed.

This is a full-time, limited duration position that is represented by SEIU.

Limited duration positions are benefit-eligible positions with a designated maximum length of service. This position is expected to end December 28, 2028; however, it could end at any time or, depending on funding, could be extended.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years experience coordinating or administering a program


OR
  • Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.


The most successful candidate will also have the following skills, experience, and background:
  • Experience evaluating program guidelines and utilizing analytical skills and sound decision-making skills to assess compliance and ensure consistency in the application of program rules.
  • Experience conducting outreach and maintaining positive relationships with the public, stakeholders, diverse community/stakeholder groups, other agencies, and Tribal and local governments.
  • Experience maintaining a database, capturing data, updating data, analyzing data, generating reports, and reporting out to stakeholders.
  • Experience working in or with governmental agencies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the state, as needed.


Preference may be given to those with the following experience:
  • Knowledgeable about building-related energy systems and energy efficiency.
