Full Job Description
The Imaging Supervisor - Multi-Modality Services position is located at UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital and is a full-time role with a Monday-Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering flexible hours and the option for a four-day workweek, with no call or holiday requirements. What You'll Do Provide leadership and operational oversight across multiple imaging modalities, including: Diagnostic X-ray CT MRI Nuclear Medicine Vascular & Interventional Radiology (VIR) General Ultrasound Echocardiography Radiology Nursing You will support daily operations, promote quality and safety standards, encourage team development, and help maintain an efficient, patient-focused imaging service line. Summary: Provides supervision of imaging teammates and the day to day operations in the diagnostic imaging areas that include CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound, X-ray, Mammography, and Interventional Radiology in a tertiary-level facility. Responsibilities: 1. Adopt and assist in the CQI process within the department and section, as well as those that cross into other departments within the Health Care System. 2. Assist in the budget process including, but not limited to, capital equipment, minor equipment, estimated procedure volumes, and updating and creating new department procedure charges. Establish and modify supply inventory in response to changes in long and short-term business trends. 3. Develop and update imaging policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Maintain equipment according to all regulatory and institutional directives. 4. Maintain clinical competency within his/her discipline. Maintains PACS and RIS super-user status. 5. Manage direct reports though regular staff meetings, yearly performance evaluations, counseling teammates on issues related to professional growth and behavior. Partners with area manager to coordinate the acquisition of talent by interviewing potential teammates and participating in hiring decisions. Manages teammate work schedules including call, vacations, and holidays, and general time and attendance. 6. Maintains proper staffing by overseeing staff schedule and approved time off, and performs duties related to timecard hygiene. Communicates staffing, patient scheduling, and attendance issues to the Manager. 7. Monitors patient volumes and staffing requirements in coordination with department productivity targets and partners with area Manager to adjust labor hours accordingly. 8. Review patient scheduling, participate in supervisor and teammate meetings, maintain an open dialog with Radiologists and Department Administration. 9. Supports and actively participates in retention initiatives in support of teammate satisfaction and engagement. 10. Maintains equipment and rooms in good operating condition. Troubleshoots equipment problems and contacts service for repairs. Coordinates service to minimize room down time. Reports equipment problems to Management. 11. Complies with departmental, hospital, and regulatory policies and procedures. Other Information Other information: Education Requirements: - Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or certificate from an accredited school in Radiology Technology. Licensure/Certification Requirements: - Must be certified appropriately in modality of supervision by ARRT, ARDMS, CCI, NMTCB, or ARMRIT. Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually. - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. Professional Experience Requirements: - Three (3) years of experience in an imaging discipline.
