Job Description

The COOLR program is seeking to fill a leader role that for a team that delivers cost effective, on schedule, and technically sound solutions while championing a culture of engineering excellence. The role blends technical contribution, leadership, and talent development as you assist the team in driving efficiencies. The selected candidate must have a passion for talent development and creating strategies to hire and retain talent, a background and understanding of team functions , and demonstrated ability to establish a culture of engineering excellence through collaboration, process improvement and creation of innovative approaches to problems.

Key Position Responsibilities leading the team in various efforts include owning the cost, schedule and technical execution of the team activities such as:
• Integrated Logistics Management
o Create, issue , and formally deliver Tech Orders through the CDRL process in accordance with engineering and production standards
o Produce, review, and release accurate engineering drawings that support system configuration and baseline control
• Team Leadership & Talent Development
o Serve as the badged leader for the team; provide continuous feedback, mentoring, and performance coaching
o Design hiring, retention, and career growth plans to build a high performing talent pipeline
o Define and monitor leading indicator metrics for schedule adherence, quality, and team progress
• Factory Development & Operations Support
o Coordinate and support annual Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) at factory development locations and provide PMI support for operations sites
• Financial Planning & Cost Management
o Apply CAM financial planning expertise to develop cost models, forecast budgets and manage program funding
• SAP & Supply Chain
o Direct purchasing, shipping and receiving for both international and domestic hardware shipments
o Ensure all shipping activities adhere to FAR and DFAR guidelines, including proper documentation, export controls, and security-classification handling
o Apply ITEX experience to manage export-control filings, customs compliance, and detailed tracking of inbound/outbound shipments.
• Agile & Product Management
o Leverage Agile experience (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Product Manager, Release Train Engineer) to drive sprint planning, iterative development, and continuous delivery

Basic Qualifications

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Experience in one of more of the following with experience in multiple areas being a discriminator:
- Technical orders and/or drawings
- Depot maintenance including strict adherence to receiving, tagging, storing, transporting and tagging of government purchased equipment
- Procurement operations
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile teams
• Recent leadership experience on projects/program within a Software Development environment
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams

Desired skills

To be highly effective it would be helpful if you also have:
• Ability to close complex, large scale technical issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels
• Talent development & pipeline building for technical expertise
• Agile leadership experience (SCRUM Master, Product Owner, Product Manager, RTE, etc.)
• Understanding of financial planning (CAM experience)
• ITEX experience
• Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements for shipping, receiving and logistics of classified and unclassified hardware
• Experience managing subcontractor efforts

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100 - $208,150. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
