Schedule: Monday - Friday, after hours as needed due to business necessityEssential Duties and Responsibilities: The I&E Supervisor maintains the controls and electrical systems of the Natural Gas Processing Plant and related pipeline facilities assigned to them to provide a safe and compliant operation of the assets. The I&E Supervisor oversees and directly supervises the work done by the I&E Technicians and contract personnel assigned to them. They are responsible for collaborating with the Planner/Schedulers, Operations department and the I&E Manager in the planning, scheduling and procurement of parts for the electrical power system and equipment maintenance.
- Supervises I&E Technicians regarding regularly scheduled inspections of the electrical and controls systems to ensure proper, safe and compliant operation of the plant and pipeline facilities. Also, identifies and detects any malfunctions/failures of the equipment and takes corrective action to repair.
- Troubleshoots as necessary and guides direct reports and contract personnel in the repairs and maintenance of controls and electrical equipment (e.g. electronics, low & medium voltage equipment, pneumatic controls, PLC's).
- Makes recommendations to management regarding potential improvements to the I&E systems.
- Supervises personnel in and or directly performs the installation & commissioning of I&E related equipment.
- Completes performance reviews of direct reports. Makes recommendations to management regarding raises, hiring and firing of direct reports and contract I&E labor.
- Assists with the professional development of I&E Technicians assigned to them.
- Ensures that all I&E personnel performing work are doing so in a safe manner following company policies and generally accepted practices.
- Oversees the maintenance of and records the operational status, repair and calibration records of the plant and field electrical power, instrumentation and controls equipment in their assigned area.
- May perform duties of I&E manager during periods of absence as assigned.
- Operate a Company-owned vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: - Minimum of associate's degree in electrical & Controls technology is preferred
- Possess and maintain a valid driver license.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the areas of operations & maintenance of electrical and controls systems.
- Good communicator, work planner with excellent work ethics and good background in computer applications.
Working Conditions:- Field work will involve walking and standing on rough terrain with uneven and slippery surfaces.
- The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate but may regularly require exposure to loud noises from machinery.
- Will be required to regularly drive to other field facilities within their assigned region.
- Will regularly use a computer to create, record, store, revise and save documentation needed to perform their role.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above.
- Able to lift and carry up to 25-50 lbs. in a safe manner.
- Ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on a telephone and in-person.
- Ability to possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a safe driving record
