Responsibilities
What you get to do every day: Work on a development team, utilizing Agile scrum methodology, which is responsible for developing and maintain agency wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains. The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying a myriad application stacks and data services.
- O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments
- Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps
- Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online
- Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them
- Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions
- Support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack
- Compile detailed documentation
Qualifications
Security Clearance Required: Active TS (SCI eligibility) clearance and eligibility to obtain a CI poly is required
Certification Required: Must have DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA
Education/Experience:
- Requires Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
- 5-8 years Developer experience
Required Skills:
Experience deploying and managing RedHat OpenShift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment
Experience with Amazon Web Services
Python, Shell scripting, Git (desired)
Linux distributions: RHEL/RHCOS, CentOS
CI/CD orchestration tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitOps
Container technology: Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem in general
What is ideal?
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift certification
- Intelligence Community Experience preferred

- The expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $148,000-$176,000 Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements. This is not a guarantee.
