Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Required Skills & Experience
• Experience: 7+ years in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or security engineering roles, with demonstrable experience delivering and operating complex third-party or hybrid platforms in enterprise environments.
Cloud-Native Engineering (Core Requirement):
• Deep, hands-on cloud-native engineering expertise across AWS and/or GCP including compute (EC2, GCE), container orchestration (EKS, GKE), networking (VPC, PrivateLink, VPN, firewall), IAM, and storage.
• Strong proficiency in IaC tooling Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent for enterprise-grade infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for platform and infrastructure deployment using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent.
Containerization expertise: Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) for managing cloud-hosted application components.
Third-Party Platform Lifecycle Management:
• Proven experience owning the full lifecycle of complex third-party or vendor platforms from initial build and certification through integration, deployment, and ongoing operational management.
• Familiarity with enterprise technology risk, platform certification, and vendor management processes in regulated or large-scale environments.
Hybrid Platform Architecture:
• Strong understanding of hybrid platform architectures combining cloud-hosted and on-premises components, including network connectivity patterns, data flow design, and operational complexity management across mixed environments.
• Experience managing platform components split across cloud provider infrastructure and customer-managed on-premises or co-location environments.
Integration Engineering:
• Proficiency in API design and integration development REST, webhooks, event-driven connectors for connecting third-party platforms into enterprise security ecosystems (SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability management, ticketing).
• Experience with data pipeline and transformation patterns for security finding ingestion and workflow automation.
Security & Offensive Security Context:
• Working knowledge of penetration testing methodologies, vulnerability management, and offensive security operations sufficient to configure, scope, and enable an AI-powered penetration testing platform effectively.
• Understanding of enterprise security controls, network segmentation, and least-privilege principles as applied to offensive security tooling within a production environment.
Platform Operations:
• Strong operational engineering skills including platform monitoring, alerting, incident response, patching, and capacity management for business-critical security platforms.
• Experience with observability tooling (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, Google Cloud Monitoring) for hybrid platform health management.
Certifications (Preferred but not required): AWS Solutions Architect or Security Specialty, Google Professional Cloud Architect or Security Engineer, OSCP, CISSP, or CCSP.
