Full Job Description
The Service Manager oversees the service department for the Corpus Christi territory, ensuring operational excellence, strong customer satisfaction, and alignment with Texas Chiller Systems' standards. This role leads service delivery across HVAC, plumbing, boiler, and electrical disciplines. The Manager is responsible for driving performance, managing resources, developing staff, and maintaining compliance with safety and company policies.

This position plays a critical role in driving operational efficiency, maximizing field productivity, and supporting timely service delivery across multiple trades in a fast-paced mechanical service environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all service operations within the Corpus Christi territory
  • Hold accountability for HVAC, plumbing, boiler, and electrical service teams and their performance
  • Ensure service delivery meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
  • Drive financial performance, including revenue growth, margin management, and expense control
  • Build and manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
  • Develop workforce through training, mentoring, and performance management
  • Align service strategies with company objectives through collaboration with other departments
  • Establish, track, and report KPIs and operational metrics to leadership
  • Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and company regulations
  • Evaluate equipment, tools, and technology for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Oversee workforce scheduling, staffing, and budget management to maximize productivity

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in service operations within HVAC, plumbing, boilers, and electrical
  • Proven track record managing large teams and multi-trade operations
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, controls, and electrical distribution
  • Experience in contract management, estimating, and P&L responsibility
  • Familiarity with union workforce management preferred
  • Demonstrated success in client relations, conflict resolution, and operational improvement
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Professional licenses and certifications in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or Boiler operation strongly preferred
  • OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
