Responsibilities

Full Job Description
We are ControlAir Systems (www.controlairsystems.com), a Crete United Company. For over 50 years, we have served the Massachusetts & NH areas as a Full-Service Commercial HVAC Contractor. Our reputation is built off superior client service, attention to detail, and the excellent relationships we have with our employees, vendors, and subcontractors.

We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator to handle our Commercial operations and join our growing team!

Location: Burlington, MA

Type: Full time permanent employment

Pay: $100-150K DOE

Offering $10,000 SIGNING BONUS for well qualified candidates

  • $2,500 after 30 days
  • $2,500 after 90 days
  • $5,000 after 6 months


The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of commercial HVAC construction. They support the customer and bid process through excellent communication and organizational skills, work well independently and as part of a team, and ultimately provide the best qualified proposals backed by a very capable, well-respected HVAC organization!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare cost estimates for HVAC MEP construction projects!

  • Read and comprehend all contract documents including specifications, project scopes, drawings and standards to prepare accurate project cost estimates.
  • Accurately take off material quantities from drawings to develop material and labor pricing.
  • Assemble scoped RFP's for vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing. Analyze, compare and select best value vendor and subcontractor proposals for inclusion in cost estimates.
  • Participate in bid review and scope review meetings and be able to explain a projects scope and estimated project costs as well as assumptions and means/methods to upper management for approval.
  • Prepare detailed breakdown of cost estimates that facilitates review and understanding.
  • Attend in-house project turnover meetings from estimating to project management.
