Job SummaryAs a direct report to the Chief Business & People Officer, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating human resources activities for the organization.
This position is expected to be onsite in Cape Canaveral, with some hybrid work permitted.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities - Strategic Planning: Work with the HR executive on strategic HR planning as well as with functional leaders on forecasting future staffing needs.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a mediator for conflict resolution, handle employee complaints, and oversee disciplinary actions.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure the company adheres to national, state, and local employment laws, reducing legal and reputational risks.
- Compensation & Benefits: Manage health insurance, and annual benefits administration to ensure competitive packages.
- Performance & Development: Oversee performance management frameworks, evaluations, and training programs.
- Culture & Retention: Advise leadership on workforce strategies and develop engagement initiatives to improve employee morale and retention.

Required Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in lieu of education
- 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role
- 3+ Years of management, supervisor, or other demonstrated leadership experience
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, production methods, coordination of people and resources, and leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications and Technical Skills - Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification a plus.
- Aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or similar compliance-oriented industry experience preferred.

Physical Requirements- Sedentary Work - occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force to carry, lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves being stationary most of the time, sometimes requiring moving about the work center on concrete surfaces.
- Computer Work - daily use of laptop, computer monitor screen, keyboard, and mouse, sometimes utilizing a headset with microphone & speakers.
