- Provides human resources advice and consults with leadership team to set short-term strategic direction and operating plans for a typically small to medium complex market/manufacturing operation.
- Ensures compliance with human resources policies and procedures.
- This position is part of the Plant Leadership Team.
- Must be able to build rapport with all levels of the organization and establish trust and credibility with the plant population.
- Provides guidance and influence to plant leadership team, direct reports as well as to employees throughout the organization. This position also requires skills in problem solving, performance management, forecasting, short- and long-range planning as well as conflict resolution and employee relations.
- Human Capital Planning (HCP): Partner with the division and functional leaders and HR business partners in the development and implementation of key HCP initiatives at the division and business group level, including succession management and talent career mapping/advancement.
- Performance Management: Lead the facilitation of high-level management team reviews (MTRs). Counsel and coach plant operating committee members in performance management processes.
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Six (6) years of Human Resources experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master's degree from an accredited institution
- Prior employee relations experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- SPHR or PHR certification
- Experience in manufacturing HR practices
- The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering strong results, possess strong business acumen and be able to work in a challenging environment
Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work in Nevada, MO.
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
Relocation: May be authorized
