Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our New York office, providing comprehensive HR support across our New York, Denver, London, and US Remote employee populations. In this role, you will serve as the primary subject matter expert and trusted resource for employee relations, managing core programs including benefits administration, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, performance management, talent acquisition, and engagement initiatives.

While the position primarily focuses on regional operations, you will also partner on strategic, firm-wide global HR rollouts. The ideal candidate is comfortable thinking through high level strategy but isn't afraid to get into the weeds with day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do

Regional Support
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers, advising on key stages of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, professional development, benefits administration, and career progression
  • Oversee employee relations and performance management, conducting objective workplace investigations, facilitating performance improvement plans (PIPs), and coaching managers on talent development strategies
  • Manage leave of absence administration and the interactive accommodation process, ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining an empathetic employee experience
  • Partner with internal Recruiter to execute regional recruitment strategies, stepping in as Lead Recruiter to manage full-cycle hiring for roles as needed

Global Project Support
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline core HR workflows
  • Manage and optimize internal intranet content, ensuring accessible, up-to-date resources and self-service support for employees
  • Conduct annual reviews of US and UK employee handbooks, incorporating regulatory updates, policy refinements, and compliance changes
  • Facilitate key performance management cycles, supporting the execution of 90-day introductory reviews and bi-annual performance evaluations
  • Additional projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications
  • Multi-Jurisdictional HR Expertise: Progressive HR experience overseeing core people programs across the US and UK, with knowledge of employment law, regulatory compliance, and workplace cultural norms in both regions
  • Talent Acquisition: Experience in full cycle recruiting including knowledge of skills-based recruiting best practices
  • People Analytics & Metrics: Strong proficiency in evaluating HR data and key performance indicators to inform workforce decisions and track program efficacy
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with rigorous attention to detail and data integrity
  • People Management: Experience managing one or more direct reports

Nice to Have Qualifications
  • PHR or SPHR certification
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, or related
  • Experience in the AEC industry
  • Experience with the OKR goal setting process

Benefits
  • 100% Paid Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401k Profit Sharing
  • Paid Holidays, Vacation, Volunteer and Sick Time Off
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Company sponsored Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance
  • Professional development stipend
  • Hybrid work stipend, office snacks, and monthly lunches
