DescriptionMaternal Fetal Medicine and its affiliates Carnegie Imaging for Women, and Carnegie Women's Health is looking for a Human Resources Manager. We are an OBGYN/High Risk Medical Practice located in the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary:This position will lead all activities that will provide an employee-oriented; high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. This position is responsible for the development of processes, best practices and metrics that support the achievement of the Practice's business goals.
Essential Functions: - Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes. Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; counseling managers regarding scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
- Works in tandem with Accounting and Payroll to ensure the smooth administration of the bi-weekly payroll system; accurate tracking of PTO.
- Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system.
- Scheduling management conferences with employees
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Works in tandem with unit managers to complete human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; assure adequate staffing level; following up on work results.
- Maintains job results by counseling managers on managing and disciplining employees.
- File workers compensation claims and ADA accommodations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws; demonstrated ability to apply them to real-world scenarios.
- Understanding of organizational systems, performance management, and continuous improvement approaches.
