- $107,887 - $143,850 (please note that this is an estimate and actual pay will vary depending on experience, qualifications, and professional certifications.)
ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Plant Manager -Toronto and indirectly to the VP Human Resources ICP, the Human Resources Manager will be accountable for the effective delivery of all HR fundamentals and HR processes for the site. This position will oversee all areas of human resources in our tissue manufacturing facility. They will be responsible for providing day to day advice, consultation, and support in the areas of performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, mentoring and coaching, learning and development and plant level staffing, along with communications. They will be required to audit, evaluate, assess, and make suggestions for improvement for all the HR business processes.
- Reinforce safe work habits to all employees by leading through example.
- Support safety policy and procedures, lead by example and ensure safety procedures are followed.
- Ensure all HR processes at the plant are followed per the standard and documented.
- Work with recruitment partners to ensure the process moves forward.
- Develop and maintain a favorable employee relations climate.
- Support the Leadership Team in determining and directing long range plans, objectives, and activities with respect to all HR functions.
- Coordinate annual performance reviews and interim processes.
- Guide leaders on when and how to deliver feedback based on audience.
- Engage managers and team members at plant site on the progressive discipline process.
- Participate, contribute, and support continuous improvement initiatives related to plant and HR area KPI's.
- Lead and support the action plan development process.
- Accountable to organize and facilitate all employee/social events.
- Facilitate all HR related training events at the site.
Qualifications- Experience in high-speed manufacturing is an asset
- Effective communicator and public speaker
- Disability Management experience
- Project Management skills
- Excellent influencing skills and ability to develop buy-in from key stakeholders
- Excellent time management skills
- Effective leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Proven ability to demonstrate the application of risk assessment to operations and activities
- Knowledge on incident investigation and root cause analysis skills would be an asset
Education:
- University Degree or equivalent
- CHRP or CPHL designation is an asset
- 7-10 years HR experience with exposure to safety systems
