Position Overview

We are seeking an agile, forward-thinking Human Resources Business Partner - Workforce Planning who excels at building credibility and trust with stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic insight, strong emotional intelligence, and a collaborative approach. This individual will influence across all levels of the organization, thoughtfully challenge existing practices, and demonstrate the capability and ambition to advance quickly within the company.

Location:

On-Site in Lynchburg, VA at the nation's largest nuclear manufacturing facility. Relocation available.

Your Day to Day as a Human Resources Business Partner - Workforce Planning:
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver workforce analytics and reporting to support operational workforce planning.
  • Analyze workforce availability and align staffing analytics to production and project demand.
  • Lead data-driven recommendations to leadership on workforce risks and talent gaps.
  • Provide analytics to support talent assessments, capability planning, and skills gap identification.
  • Create and improve HR analytics programs to support long-term workforce planning.
  • Build partnerships across HR and operations, providing clear, actionable insights and data interpretation.
  • Improve analytic processes through continuous improvement, automation, and enhanced data quality.
  • Lead outreach to regional community partners to mitigate long term talent gaps.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships across the organization, connecting quickly with stakeholders and establishing credibility.
  • Challenge legacy processes and norms to advance HR effectiveness and organizational performance.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant progressive HR experience.
  • Must have manufacturing experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement and/or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for leaders.
  • High attention to detail, analytical rigor, and collaborative mindset.
  • Clear and concise communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.


Preferred Additional Qualifications:
  • Nuclear or advanced manufacturing experience.
  • A Lean Six Sigma or Operational Excellence certification.
  • Master's degree in HR, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.

Pay: $76,000 - $119,000

The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $76,000 and $119,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
