JOB OVERVIEW:

The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a strategic business partner, responsible for managing the Human Resource function for his/her respective business unit. Services provided under the direction of this position include the employee relations, organizational development, recruitment and other general Human Resources services. Additionally, the Human Resources Business partner is responsible for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organization's business goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

9. Annually reviews and makes recommendations to Management for improvement of policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
10. Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and insures compliance.
11. Work with corporate and field Management to resolve general employee relations issues. Gathers information for investigations.
12. Consistently demonstrate respect and appreciation for the efforts of others.
13. Espouses and integrates a philosophy of quality. Sets an example for change and new concepts.
14. Assists in developing, coordinating and implementing all HR programs, within business unit, to leverage efficiencies and gain productivity.
15. Typically negotiates in a competitive or adversarial environment.
16. Typically faces situations that have a variety of interpretations and require careful evaluation.
17. Ability to travel to any location where the Company operates and expand territory as business needs dictate.
18. Ability to attend various meetings as requested with minimal advanced notice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Oversees recruiting and staffing needs within their business unit.
2. Provides and trains management on selection and staffing resources and tools. May plan, coordinate and attend job fairs.
3. Counsels and coaches management on business decisions related to personnel issues, leadership and management effectiveness.
4. Represents HR in companywide initiatives.
5. May conduct training classes on HR issues.
6. Addresses turnover and looks for trends and problems.
7. Identifies breaches of culture/values that impact workplace.
8. Drives compliance by supporting consistency in practice of policies & procedures and employment law.
9. Provides effective leadership to any assigned staff.
10. Periodically reviews human resource related contracts and arrangements (i.e., employee insurance, Wellness Program, EAP etc.) and makes appropriate recommendations as to changes and additions and ensures they are current and timely.
11. Works with management to ensure company is free of harassment and discrimination. Investigates any such claims promptly.
12. Serve on appropriate committees internally and externally as assigned.
13. Manage and administer an equitable, metrics-based performance Management program.
14. Manage and administer a wage and salary system.
15. Meets or exceeds the Company's goals of employee/customer satisfaction for the Human Resource Department.
16. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common information, reports and medical documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the healthcare industry. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, referral sources or patients and caregivers. Ability to speak and write Spanish is strongly preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Field positions will be exposed to various unfamiliar conditions where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn and which may include, but are not limited to: Conference venues (indoor and outdoor) manufacturing and warehouse plants, and other venues as directed by supervisor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but increases significantly in warehouse and manufacturing plants.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or appropriate equivalent with HR focus from an accredited university.
• PHR Certified Professional (PHR) preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of human resources experience with at least three years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills (including public speaking) in English. Spanish strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of labor law on a state and federal level with continuing education credits.
• Pass the drug test
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible Full Time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
